How you can get more involved...
1. Promote a positive outlook on reading in general. Reading Shakespeare or
Old English can be fairly challenging; however, if your child is uninterested in reading then it will be very difficult for
him or her to succeed in and out of the classroom, as it is an essential tool to succeed in life.
2. Check that your child has completed the assigned readings and study guide
questions so that he or she is prepared for the next class. If your child is struggling, provide them with
positive reinforcement, help them yourself, or have them come talk to me so we can work together as a team.
3. Encourage your child to work on the final project as early as possible.
Because the best writing comes from rewriting, and practice does make perfect, it would be to your child's advantage
if he or she began taking notes or putting thoughts onto paper for the presentation. The earlier the students start
on their projects, the more time you and I will have to help them with any questions or concerns they might have.
